What is personal data?

We characterise "personal data" as information that specifically identifies an individual, such as their name, contact information, educational information, and images.

How do we collect personal data?

We gather user personal data exclusively upon individual registration on our platform and the provision of such information by the user.

What do we do with personal data?

Broadly, we use personal data to monitor individuals’ usage and performance on our platform. This helps enhance our solutions, customise them to meet individual requirements, and provide suggestions for solutions that may be beneficial to them.

How do we use personal data?

We do not make public or provide to any third party any personal data obtained through our educational platform except that:

1. Your personal data will be available to the Lapis Middle East & Africa FZ-LLC and Knowledge Platform.
2. We will provide personal data as may be required by law or government orders.
3. We will share personal data if you consent to sharing such data.
4. We may share personal data with other solutions providers on which we rely (for example, a telecommunications carrier or cloud hosting service) to provide services under our platform.
5. We may use personal data to improve services to you, communicate with you, offer solutions to you, and provide profile-based advertising or marketing solutions and to enroll you in programs run by us.
6. In cases where you enter a program run by us that involves the provision or publication of personal data, for example, in a competition leaderboard, or to obtain prizes, or win scholarships, then your personal data may be provided or publicized to the extent required under such programs.

How do you use location, usage, performance and similar data?

We will employ personal data for the purpose of assessing and credentialing individuals, issuing them certificates of completion and allowing users to track progress and identify weaknesses in their learning path. Furthermore, data encompassing an individual's location, device, carrier, social media affiliations, behaviour, preferences, usage, performance, results, and comparable details may be employed to conduct research, improving and optimising our solutions, publish rankings and reports, and facilitate third parties in conducting research and publishing rankings and reports.

Information collected from and shared with social networking sites

When accessing Senf.af using your login credentials from a social networking site like Facebook or Google, the respective social networking site may receive user-specific personal information in accordance with its terms and conditions.

How do you consent to the policy and when will your account be removed?

By signing up to the platform, you agree to our privacy policy. Users can request the removal of their account through the support@senf.af email account. Lapis will remove the user account within two months. Lapis has the right to delete your account if you haven’t used it for more than a year with or without notice.

What happens if your personal data is incorrect?

As long as it is mandated by law and you remain an active user, you will have online access to review your personal data stored by us. You will also have the ability to rectify any inaccuracies, incompleteness, misleading information, or data that is not up to date through the system.
